Downtown Salem, Oregon
Summer in the City Music Festival 2010

The
fourth annual Summer in the City Music and Wine Festival takes place in
August 2011.
In 2010 music took center stage with a dynamic line
up of top regional and nationally acclaimed bands. 14 hours of music will
go on non-stop through out the event.
Genres appeal to all music lovers from rock, blues, country, and
contemporary sound. This event brings together some of the Northwest’s top
musicians with skills that rival any in the nation and many of these
performers have played internationally and with internationally recognized
artists. This is the one event in Salem that brings together quality
musicians, at one time in one location, where the public doesn’t have to
travel elsewhere to enjoy such an experience.
Downtown Salem offers a beautiful setting for relaxing; sipping wine,
craft beers, or margaritas, and listening to top notch
“music
in the street.” Liberty Street will be closed for the weekend long
concert. Enjoy foods from Alessandro’s, La Margarita and Co., Straight
from New York Pizza, BelgiQue Waffles, and more. 10 wineries will be
represented with Mia Sonatina Cellars, Christopher Bridge, Noble Estate
Vineyard, Waving Tree Winery, Hip Chicks Do Wine, and West Side Wine Store
will represent Silver Falls, Pudding River, Arcane Cellars, and Viridian.
For the mimosa lover, West Side will supply the bubbly.
We suggest you come early,
secure your seating, eat, drink, and be merry and enjoy the full day’s
music line up. Ticketed access is only limited to the in-street fenced
pavilion area, all city sidewalks and store and restaurant access is in
the free zone.
Shop the local downtown stores “inside and outside sidewalk sale.” Over
150 stores and restaurants surround the music festival, all
within
a few block radius. Novelty boutiques, fashion clothing and shoe stores,
fine jewelry stores, antiques, home décor, and 4 major department stores
and specialty stores have incredible shopping experiences to offer.
